About Us
ACHIEVE Training Centre is based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, with additional trainers in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton.  We are a division of the Crisis & Trauma Resource Institute Inc.  Our primary focus is on providing training and services for the general public, businesses and organizations throughout Canada.
 
Brenda Vanasse, Public Workshop Coordinator
Brenda coordinates both our public workshops while providing timely and personable service to clients. She is the primary contact for clients wishing to utilize ACHIEVE Training Centre services. You can contact Brenda at brenda@achievecentre.com.
Heidi Martens, On-site Training Coordinator
Heidi brings her invaluable experience to ACHIEVE in offering friendly, responsive and client-centered services. She is primarily involved in working with businesses, schools, communities and organizations who wish to utilize ACHIEVE's on-site services. You can contact Heidi at heidi@achievecentre.com.
 
Randy Grieser, Director and Trainer
Randy is a Registered Social Worker who holds a Master of Social Work degree and a Bachelor degree in Conflict Resolution. He has also completed advanced training in threat assessment and management. His work experience has involved working directly with issues of conflict, crisis and violence while being employed in the areas of mental health, counselling and crisis management within community, school and hospital settings. Randy is a dynamic presenter who delivers content-oriented presentations that are both engaging and informative.
 
Wendy Loewen, Trainer
Wendy has Bachelor degrees in both Psychology and Education. She is a dynamic presenter who delivers material in a format that maximizes the learning potential for both youth and adults. She is a former teacher, who, besides providing services through ACHIEVE Training Centre, is also a curriculum writer for the Nunavut Department of Education.
 
Holly Lowe, Trainer
Holly's primary experience is as a clinician working with children, adolescents and adults in crisis intervention. She holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology and has completed a Master of Marriage and Family Therapy degree. In addition to her work at ACHIEVE, she works in the field of family violence providing therapy for women, youth and families who are in crisis. Holly's use of humour and her practical experience in crisis intervention creates the type of atmosphere that is very conducive to learning.
 
Eric Stutzman, Trainer
Eric has been involved in the field of conflict resolution and mediation since completing a degree in Sociology with a focus on mediation and peacemaking. He has worked as a senior mediator, trainer and lead negotiator for several organizations in Canada. Eric is an informative trainer who is gifted at making training material relatable to practical situations.
 
Mary Dawson, Trainer
Mary has over twenty years experience working in the field of family violence and conflict resolution, primarily with providing services to separating and divorcing families experiencing conflict. In addition to her work at ACHIEVE, Mary is the Director of a social service organization and does training related to domestic violence. She is an engaging presenter who is passionate about her work, which allows her to easily facilitate ongoing learning for workshop participants.
 
Mike Labun, Trainer
Mike Labun has over fifteen years experience in the mediation and conflict resolution field. He has a Certificate in Conflict Resolution and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. In addition to his work with ACHIEVE Training Centre, he teaches conflict resolution and mediation at the University of Winnipeg. As a facilitator, Mike has an interactive and engaging style that easily motivates participants to incorporate workshop material into their own environments.
 
Aaron Lyons, Trainer
Aaron holds a Masters Degree in Conflict Transformation, and in addition to training with ACHIEVE Training Centre, is a mediator in the field of restorative justice and conflict resolution. In this role he facilitates dialogue and collaborative processes among victims and perpetrators of traumatic criminal offences. Aaron has a rich background in intercultural peacebuilding, youth justice, addictions treatment and outdoor leadership. A gifted facilitator, Aaron brings insight, analysis and energy to the learning environment.
 
George Anderson, Trainer

George has more than twenty-five years of experience in crisis, conflict and workplace violence management. He is a Certified Protection Professional and holds Bachelor degrees in Social Sciences and Criminal Justice. In addition to his work with ACHIEVE Training Centre, he is the Director of safety, security and investigations for a crown agency. George draws on his experience in in leadership and conflict management to provide energetic, enlightening and interactive presentations.

 
Alan Edwards, Trainer

Alan has been active in the conflict resolution world since 1997 as a mediator, writer, and instructor.
The focus of his mediation work is primarily workplace conflict. As an instructor, Alan has delivered
training in many locations throughout Canada and the United States. In addition, he has been working
in the field of restorative justice where, since 2004, he has been co-facilitating communication between
victims of serious violent crime and those who have caused them harm. Having one foot in each of the
distinct worlds of conflict and violence allows Alan to approach his work in either area with clarity,
insight, and passion.

 
Dale Swirsky, Trainer

Dale is an intuitive teacher who holds a degree in Education and completed an Economics minor program. In addition to his work with ACHIEVE Training Centre, he is also a high school teacher in Winnipeg, MB. Dale is an exciting speaker whose presentations are insightful, humorous and practical.
